Rita and Augustine Foundation - Ritustine (Pronounced, "Re-disteen") is in honor of the loving memory and legacies of Ms. Rita Inameti and Mr. Augustine Inameti. Rita was a kind and compassionate soul who passed away on March 3, 2023, after a courageous battle with sickle cell anemia. Despite her challenges, Rita sought ways to help those in need, dreaming of a foundation to support children and families affected by sickle cell anemia, regardless of their religion or creed. Mr. Augustine Inameti was a dedicated teacher who believed in the transformative power of education, selflessly paying school fees for several children from families in need.
We envision a world where individuals living with sickle cell anemia receive the care and support they deserve, and where communities have access to essential resources that promote health, well-being, and dignity. Ritustine Family is dedicated to providing support, resources, and hope to children and families affected by sickle cell anemia while raising awareness about the disease and enhancing the quality of life in underserved communities.
The community faced numerous challenges, including lack of access to healthcare and basic amenities, which hindered their growth and overall well-being.
Thanks to the support of our partners and community members, we were able to provide essential resources that significantly improved the quality of life for the residents.
"The Ritustine Family has changed our lives by providing access to clean water and vital health services through their ongoing borehole water initiative. Starting with their first project in 2023 at Ikot Ansa Calabar, Cross River State Nigeria, and now with our community project, we are forever grateful for their support."
